The Ups and Downs of the Apple iPad 2

By David Lemora

Apple made a big splash not long ago when it released the iPad, and they now have the iPad2 which offers some additional upgrades and features. In the competitive field of tablet computers on the market, Apple has managed to grab most of the attention with the iPad. Why don't we see if the iPad 2 is really all that different original iPad.

Cell phone spy programs, is one example of the apps that you can get for the Iphone. The Ipad tablet has most of the very same apps!

One activity you can perform on an iPad 2 that you couldn't on the original iPad is FaceTime video calling. This is a feature that is rapidly becoming quite popular because it lets you see the person you're talking to in real time.

The iPad 2 has an HD camera both on the front and on the back so you can see the face of your friend with the front facing camera and use the back facing camera to take pictures of your location if you like. You can use the Photo Booth app to take pictures of yourself or your friends with your iPad. FaceTime is also available for the iPhone and the Mac computer so don't buy an iPad for this feature alone.

The LED backlit display is one of the most impressive features of the iPad. The 9.7 inch high resolution display of the iPad offers images that are incredibly bright and vivid, something that your smart phone, even with its access to to the web and ability to perform other tasks doesn't offer. The backlighting means that you'll have no trouble viewing the display even if you're in an area without much light. You can view the display from any angle as it automatically adjusts to how you are holding it. The display is one of the reasons for the iPad's popularity, because regardless of whether you are looking at photos, browsing the web or watching videos, it enhances your experience.

Sure the camera is a nice addition but you most likely have at last one camera on a different device. So don't get mad if you bought the first iPad instead of waiting for the Apple iPad 2; you aren't going to miss out on something essential for your survival.

Think about how you want to use the iPad for before you buy it and decide if it is worth the investment. A lot of people love their iPads, and usually those that are disappointed had expectations that it would do things it wasn't really designed to do.
