An In-Depth Look at the HTC 7 Mozart Smart Phone

By Alex Wronski

The HTC 7 Mozart smart phone is one of many quality smart phones, though it has some characteristics that set it apart from the competition. This phone is mainly available in Australia and the UK, though international models can also be found. This phone has some qualities that many users appreciate, and a few drawbacks as well. To give you a balanced view, we'll be looking at both sides of the picture in this review.

I love that you can tap into a cell phone conversation as this can be a great surveillance tool.

You would expect a phone that uses the name Mozart to have high quality sound, and the HTC 7 delivers on this. To get the full effect, you should get the free app called Sound Enhancer. This app turns your phone into a kind of stereo system, complete with equalizer sound effects and even surround sound. This is something you'll appreciate not only when you listen to music but also when watching videos on your phone.

If you're wondering about the battery of the HTC 7 Mozart, it should last seven hours or more if you don't overtax it. It gives you about 5 hours of talk time, and up to 360 hours on standby, so when you're not using the phone, it won't be using up much battery juice. Certain activities, however, such as gaming or watching videos, will drain your battery a lot faster. In general, then, the battery life of the HTC 7 Mozart measures up to the competition, so it's probably not going to be a reason to either choose this phone or cross it off your list.

Windows-based phones like the HTC 7 Mozart now have more apps that you can use with this phone, something that was once limited to only Androids and I phones. The Attentive Phone is a new app that can help you handle calls a variety of ways. The ringer volume will go up as you enter those areas; this is part of the application called "pocket mode" and is useful as you travel to different locations. It also has "flip for speaker," which makes it simple to activate the speakerphone option. There are several other features as well that make Attentive Phone an app worth using if you like to have many options for using your smart phone.

If you have ever used Bing Maps, and you have the HTC 7 Mozart, it is perfect for utilizing WP7, especially when you have lost your way. If you prefer using laptops or desktops, you will enjoy using this on your smartphone which will connect you directly with Bing. The main convenience is using the HTC 7 Mozart which is much smaller than a PC. Some destinations, other than road directions, are easy to locate on Bing Maps with your smartphone. This means if you're in a new area and want to find a restaurant, gas station, hotel or anything else, you simply type in the command and Bing Maps will locate the nearest one.

There are some good reasons to consider the HTC 7 Mozart, though it's not the best choice for everybody. Depending on where you live and whether you like the idea of using a phone with a Windows OS, this phone may be right for you. If the HTC 7 Mozart is available where you live and you like the look of it and what it can do, then it might be just the smart phone for you.
